OneNote: check importing and saving.
This page describes the planned checks. A complete OneNote save-and-reopen test has not been completed, so compatibility is not confirmed.
Windows / iPad / Web
Receiving an item does not prove that OneNote has saved it. Import methods, media presentation, and saved results need checking for all three versions.
Planned verification steps
Record the test environment
Separate the Windows desktop, iPad, and browser versions and record the version in use. A result on one does not validate the others.
Start with one test photo
Connect your phone and receiver. Take a nonessential photo and wait for it in the NoteFerry tray.
Check the import method
Try dragging the photo into a test page. If that version rejects the drop, check its picture-insertion control and available file-export options. That alternative also needs testing.
Verify saving and playback separately
Confirm the image appears, wait for OneNote to finish saving or syncing, then close and reopen. Video and voice need separate checks for whether they become attachments or playable media.
If something goes wrong
The photo does not appear in the tray
Confirm that the phone is connected to the receiver you are using and keep NoteFerry open on both. Check that the devices’ networks can reach each other, then show the receiver’s connection code and reconnect.
The photo does not appear after dragging
Open an editable notebook page and retry with one photo. Receiving an item does not mean the destination app accepted the drop. Keep the original.
The item is missing after reopening
That attempt has not saved successfully. Keep the tray original, check the notebook app’s save status, and retry and verify before removing any media.
